Performer, Teacher, and Lover of Music.

I started playing piano at the age of 8 and haven’t stopped since. As a child and teenager, I was trained in classical repertoire, but I also spent much of my time composing and developing my own musical voice. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Music from Luther College in 2019 and have since enjoyed a rich and fulfilling musical career—from working in administration for local nonprofit orchestras, to performing at churches and weddings, to accompanying recitals, and teaching over 30 students each week.

As a teacher, I’m committed to creating a fun and welcoming space where a true love of music can grow, because I believe enjoyment is key to making music a lifelong pursuit. I blend traditional classical training, with a strong emphasis on music theory and technique, with personalized instruction that caters to each student’s passions and goals.

My compositions reflect my own style of playing and improvising. I enjoy creating harmonic textures that bring out emotional color. I’m deeply inspired by the works of Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Boulanger, and many others. I’m constantly amazed by how many colors, textures, and emotions a single piece of music can evoke, and I strive to create music that captures all of this.

Outside of work, I spend as much time as I can practicing cello, doing yoga, cooking, hiking, traveling, and cuddling my favorite two kitties in the whole world - Cece and Eliot.
