Performer, Teacher, and Lover of Music
I started playing piano at the age of 8. As a child, I was trained to play classical repertoire, but I also spent much of my time composing and developing my own musical voice. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Music from Luther College in 2019 and have since enjoyed a rich and fulfilling musical career—from working in administration for local nonprofit orchestras, to performing at churches and weddings, accompanying recitals, and teaching nearly 40 students every week.
As a teacher, I’m committed to creating a fun and welcoming space where a true love of music can grow, because I believe enjoyment is key to making music a lifelong pursuit. I blend classical training with personalized instruction that caters to each student’s passions and goals. I make sure my students spend extra time on note reading and music theory so they have the tools to make music on their own for, ideally, the rest of their lives.
In addition to my career, I enjoy spending my time learning cello, reading, doing yoga, cooking, hiking, and traveling.
